The vision of establishing the Drug Information Centre in GIPS-Guwahati is to provide authentic, precise, fast track, unbiased and evidence based high quality information services on safe and toxic uses of medicine to the healthcare professionals and public of the North Eastern Region of India.

To provide authentic, unbiased, well referenced and up-to-date information on any aspect of drug use to healthcare professionals, research scholar and patients.
To serve the society by providing free of cost and fast track information on the use of medicines.
To build up a better and healthier society by minimizing the misuse of drugs by the public.
To educate and counsel the people about the safe use and consumption of drugs.
